I first met Raymond at St Mary's House of Welcome - a drop-in centre in Fitzroy.
i befriended him and i suppose he remembers my caring, smiling nature.


Maybe he saw that i too was ostracised as i was different to the mold.
Neither of us smoked nor drank.
This was enough to set us apart from the general population of SMHOW and its staff.
Besides Ray was very very fat.


(Nowadays, St Mary's is back at the original renovated site but the place certainly isn't run for the benefit of clients.The TV room was never opened to clients)


Ray used to LOVE to go on fishing and overnight trips.   (Not me .. Vegetarian!)
Ray held social worker/Catholic lay community member David Kay in very high regard.
i remember i used to see the big man in water on SMHOW trips to the historic Richmond Pool.


He says he was a regular at nearby Coolibah Centre but slanderers had him evicted.
(Both Ray and i have felt the alleged Macchiavellian, manipulative, litigious wrath of Connie and Dianne.)

Get this!!!   Ray's  only  (known)  family  didn't  want even  tell Ray  his  Mum  had  passed  away.   Some  family,  heh??.

Who  were  these  miserable  scrooges allegedly trying to rip off Ray's inheritance ??
