The story of Ahn (aka Phouc Phung)

My friend John (Lebanese family, forever fat) was walking along Swanston Street when i bumped into him. He was with a Vietnamese youth. He looked like a teen but Vietnamese are often petite. Anh lived at 55 Charles Street, Seddon near Footscray.

i thought it strange. Why? Neither John nor i had Asian friends. Ahn turned out to be not the usual Vietnamese lad. He liked 'foreigners' like us.He had been studying Social Science or similar at VU or RMIT. As is common, Anh developed what is too-conveniently called by society and its medical Wizards of Oz “Mental Illness”.

The three of us had a real distrust of the medical/drug industry. We saw alot of the industry as toxic. Australia is a nation of hypochondriacs. (Doctors are actually part of an extremely strong union - in Australia and America known as the AMA)

An is in fact very concerned at the poisoning of society by the medical fraternity. (Doctors are actually part of an extremely strong conservative trade union - in Australia and America known as the AMA.)

Anyway, Ahn (late 30s) is a man of few words (compared to Australians). Over several years, An told me about his family. What family!!!!

Destroyed ... by his mother
In his late 30s, Ahn has two siblings. Both brothers are younger. Anh was very grateful I introduced him to Raymond. Why? Because Ray was his only escape route out of the highly toxic emotional relationship with ...  his mother Xoi Phung. Anh was her financial slave. She stole his Pension money, then gave him - in generous weeks - a weekly transport card ($14) and %$20 cash.

Furthermore, An says his 'darling' Mum also steals from his two brothers who are similarly kept in emotional and financial bondage. Thousands of dollars per week are involved. People think the mother invests in real estate. Some people call Ahn's mother a criminal. An says the mother and father sleep in the kitchen.

Two years ago, i was living with Ray - for two or three of weeks. i was in between homes. Ray had wanted me to move in for he had even gone to the trouble of purchasing a divan bed and bedding. God bless him!!!

Anyway, when i first slept there, broken sleep was a very regular event. Ray would get up several times in the night and cook a meal (and some tea with artificial sweetener). He would ring up Nurse-on-Call - ALWAYS with his sob-sob story that  nobody loved him. His behaviour to them followed a formula. He was hard done by, English people adolutely destroyed Australian society. He would abuse most nurses - often yelling. These calls took place several times in a 24-hour cycle.

State Trustees

Then there were the calls - ending in disgusting words - to State Trustees - a large corporatised Starte-owned company. A financial trustee is appointed by VCAT (and, where 'mental illness' is involved, a psychiatrist's signature) when people are deemed to be unable to look after their money.waste their money. Trustees claim a percentage (3%) to look after income. But they have a vested interest in selling any property owned. They receive 5% of the sale price, so trustees LOVE to sell prpoperty off!

Anyway, Ray is getting his own back! Ray "thinks he is "ripping them off" because he has persuaded State Trustees to give him even more cash each week. Now $130. Sadly, Ray foolishly wastes most of his weekly $130 on ornaments and trinkets. Obese Ray goes through various buying fads eg lamps, religious books, books on women's health, fridge magnets, statues. (The books are unread.) Well, i did move in on more than a casual basis. But once he victed me - he rang up the police - on a bitterly cold night. Ahn, who lived with Ray in Abbotsford and kept the place spotless met the same fate. Minus the police.

An was very opposed to medication and he had taken Ray off many tablets, such as for cholesterol, (adult) diabetes.. Ray's lazy lifestyle hardly changed, however. He would still recline in a couch watching TV and eating fried foods and drinking tea with artificial sweetener. As a result, doctors became impatient, including the chauffer-driven locum quack Dr Raniga of Australian Locum Medical Service. Various authority figures said that Ahn had to go.

So, in July 2012 Ahn moved back with his parents.
